Physical therapists earn an average of $70,000 per year, according the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
According to the American Board of Physical Therapy, physical therapy graduates make about $40,000 to $50,000 a year, and average $55,000.
That puts physical therapists as the most-compensated occupation in the nation.
Physical therapy students, however, earn less.
According a 2018 study from the National Bureau of Economic Research, students who complete at least four years of physical therapy experience earn only $25,000, while graduates earn $75,000 or more.
